If your clothes aren't drying properly or are taking a long time to dry, your dryer vent needs to be cleaned. Dryers are comes in a multitude of shapes, colors, and sizes. You are at risk of getting a clogged dryer vent if you have a side by side washer/dryer set up, a stackable dryer system, an electric or gas dryer.
When a dryer fails to dry or only partially dries the clothes, the most common cause is dryer lint. It's not uncommon for homeowners to believe their dryer's heating element has failed. This isn't always the case. The dryer vent is usually clogged with lint, preventing the heating element from venting properly and failing to fully dry your clothing.
